Ho Chi Minh City, 23 October 2019 – Motor Image, the exclusive distributor of Subaru vehicles in Vietnam, is proud to showcase the all-new, award-winning Subaru Forester, which now comes with all four of Subaru’s core technologies, at the Vietnam Motor Show 2019 from 24 to 27 October 2019.

Built on the Subaru Global Platform and equipped with EyeSight Driver Assist Technology, Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and Boxer Engine, the fifth-generation Subaru Forester is the extraordinary SUV that does it all. With just the right amount of ruggedness and enough space for the whole family, it is built to handle adventure with style and grace.

The all-new Subaru Forester has won the 2019 Grand Prix Award for earning the highest score in the Japan New Car Assessment Program (JNCAP) collision safety performance assessment conducted by the government of Japan. It has also received the Advanced Safety Vehicle Triple Plus (ASV+++) rating, the highest rating in the 2018-2019 JNCAP preventive safety performance.

Also being showcased is the sleek, polished and rugged Subaru Outback. Also equipped with EyeSight Driver Assist Technology, Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and Subaru’s Boxer Engine, the Outback gives you the freedom to take sophistication and luxury anywhere.

For Subaru fans, Motor Image is also presenting the Subaru BRZ sports coupe and the Subaru Levorg sports tourer at the Vietnam Motor Show 2019.

Introduced in 2012, the front-engined, rear-wheel driven BRZ has been globally praised for its excellent driving dynamics, thanks to its extremely low centre of gravity and near 50/50 weight distribution.

Boasting a power output of 200PS from its naturally aspirated 2.0-litre Boxer Engine, a responsive steering and a driver-focused cockpit, the BRZ provides a thrilling sports car experience. Its purpose is singular – to magnify the joy of driving, for all those who drive it.

Embodying a new generation of Subaru models, the Levorg was first introduced in 2014 and capitalises on Subaru’s accumulated expertise in building practical, fun-to-drive cars with the driving performance of Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and turbocharged Boxer Engine (1.6-litre or 2.0-litre, depending on market).

Experience safety and stability at the Subaru Ultimate Test Drive

Held concurrently at the Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center, the Subaru Ultimate Test Drive returns to let visitors experience all four of Subaru’s core technologies: Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, Subaru Global Platform, Boxer Engine and EyeSight Driver Assist Technology.

EyeSight Driver Assist Technology elevates safety standards for Vietnamese drivers. It is the culmination of everything Subaru engineers know about safety. More than one million EyeSight-equipped vehicles have been sold in the United States and it remains a popular option in Southeast Asia. Adding confidence to every trip, EyeSight monitors traffic movement, optimises cruise control and warns drivers if their vehicle is about to depart from its lane.

Whether drivers are in Ho Chi Minh City or Hanoi, they will be kept safe with the Pre-Collision Braking (PCB) feature. This allows for full braking force in emergency situations and helps drivers avoid or reduce frontal impacts. EyeSight has been found to reduce the rate of rear-end crashes with injuries by up to 85%, based on reporting by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety in the US.

Customers taking part in the Subaru Ultimate Test Drive will get to navigate a Subaru Forester, Outback or XV through a specially-designed obstacle course and personally experience the outstanding features of a Subaru. These obstacles include:

1. Cross Roller: Demonstrates Subaru’s Vehicle Dynamics Control and structural rigidity.
2. Slip Roller: Demonstrates Subaru’s Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive in slippery conditions. Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive works in sync with Vehicle Dynamics Control to maximise traction and restore vehicle stability by reducing engine power and/or applying the brakes to slow down individual wheels.
3. Side Ramp: Demonstrates the ability to be balanced and stable when driving on extreme road angles. Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive continually monitors all wheels and adapts to provide maximum grip and outstanding control. The rigid chassis has minimal flex, which allows the driver to have more control of the vehicle.
4. X-MODE Ramp: Demonstrates enhanced driving performance on challenging terrain through optimised integrated control of the throttle, transmission, Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system and Vehicle Dynamics Control. The Hill Descent Control feature gives the driver greater peace of mind by maintaining a constant speed on downhill slopes, allowing the driver to concentrate on steering.
5. EyeSight Course: Demonstrates Subaru EyeSight features such as Pre-collision Braking, Pre-collision Throttle Management and Adaptive Cruise Control.

Boasting electrifying power slides, two-wheeling and other ambitious manoeuvres designed to wow and excite, Russ Swift, in collaboration with Subaru, will once again demonstrate the thrill of driving a Subaru at the Vietnam Motor Show 2019.

The Subaru Russ Swift Stunt Show promises to give thrill-seeking motor enthusiasts another chance to experience the Guinness World Record holder's daredevil antics first-hand. The world-renowned precision driver is the current British Autotest Champion and England Autotest Team Captain. He also achieved 3 Guinness World Records for parallel parking in the tightest space, J-Turn in the tightest space and the fastest doughnuts.

The Subaru Russ Swift Stunt Show will take place from 24 October to 27 October at 11am, 2pm and 4pm. Visitors will also get the chance to meet Russ Swift at the Subaru booth after each performance.
