Bangkok, 30 April 2020 – TC Subaru (Thailand) Co., Ltd., the exclusive distributor of Subaru vehicles in Thailand, and its authorised dealers, have come together to help the visually impaired fight COVID-19. The group has sourced, purchased and donated 2,000 face masks, 2,000 bottles of hand sanitisers, and other essential items to the Thailand Association of the Blind. Its staff also made monetary contributions to the organisation to further assist with the health and social needs of the visually impaired.
The visually impaired are more dependent on their sense of touch. This increased reliance on their hands puts them at greater risk of COVID-19 infection. Many of them also do not have access to health care supplies such as medical gloves and hand sanitisers. TC Subaru and its dealers recognise this and have therefore contributed towards the safety and well-being of the visually impaired. These efforts are also aimed at helping ease the burden on the country’s health services.
TC Subaru and its dealers would also like to take this opportunity to thank all healthcare, frontline and essential workers for everything they are doing and for the sacrifices they make. May all Thais remain safe and healthy during this period.
