Singapore, 12 January 2021 – Motor Image, the exclusive distributor of Subaru vehicles in Singapore, is proud to introduce the new, refreshed Subaru XV. The XV, updated for 2021, boasts several enhancements – both aesthetic and under the skin.
Revisions to the exterior of the XV include redesigned wheels and a new bumper and grille, resulting in a more aggressive and sportier look.
The new XV is also more capable on the go than before, thanks to the addition of Subaru’s dual-function X-MODE and SI-DRIVE.
X-MODE allows the driver to select between two different settings tailored to specific driving conditions – snow/dirt and deep snow/mud. It complements Subaru’s Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system to allow drivers to take the road less travelled, get muddier and have more daring adventures. The system provides advanced, all-road capability and rugged performance — helping drivers get out of deep mud, improving driving confidence, especially on uneven surfaces or challenging inclines.
SI-DRIVE is Subaru’s powertrain performance management system that allows the driver to choose between the vehicle’s “Intelligent” and “Sport” modes.
Selecting “Intelligent” mode helps smooth out accelerator inputs for fuel saving. “Sport” mode tunes the throttle to emphasise performance — which means the car responds immediately and powerfully in a refined manner - allowing for speedy acceleration.
The compact SUV’s suspension has been retuned, featuring coils and dampers optimised for an even smoother ride. Combined, these improvements provide a more enjoyable driving experience all-around for both driver and passengers.
As before, the new XV is underpinned by the four hallmark Subaru Core Technologies, which contribute towards optimised handling, maximum comfort and enhanced safety for all on board. The four Subaru Core Technologies are: Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, Boxer Engine, Subaru Global Platform and EyeSight Driver Assist Technology.
The new Subaru XV is now available to order and will be showcased at the Subaru Leng Kee showroom from today.
