e-SUBARU GLOBAL PLATFORM

The e-SUBARU GLOBAL PLATFORM, a dedicated platform newly developed for SUBARU BEVs, has been further enhanced. The high-capacity battery is located under the floor, lowering the centre of gravity to improve handling and maximise cabin space. Its innovative design merges the battery case with the body frame, forming a monolithic structure for improved rigidity.

Power Unit (Motor/Battery)

The E-OUTBACK’s powertrain combines a high-capacity battery, optimised for input and output, with powerful 167 kW motors at both the front and rear. Its finely tuned power control delivers sharp, immediate response and linear, sustained acceleration. This natural, in-sync pedal feel lets you control your speed with confidence and ease.

Charging

The E-OUTBACK is designed for convenience, with extended range and compatibility with fast charging worldwide. 150 kW DC quick charging powers the battery to 80% in just 28 minutes*. An upgraded 22 kW AC charger speeds up standard charging.

E-OUTBACK brings SUBARU’s renowned capability to an EV. Its AWD system combines high-output 167 kW front and rear motors with X-MODE for outstanding control, giving you exceptional stability and handling on rough terrain. Even on snow-covered trails or muddy roads, you can stay confident and at ease behind the wheel.

AWD System

SUBARU’s EV AWD technology has been further refined. The system precisely controls drive force distribution to match road conditions, helping you stay on your intended line. It also enhances stability by dynamically distributing regenerative braking force when you lift off the accelerator, helping you stay confident and reassuringly in control.

X-MODE

X-MODE enables E-OUTBACK to drive through challenging conditions, from deep snow to muddy trails, delivering exceptional rough-road performance. For added confidence, the Panoramic View Monitor provides visual support, helping drivers navigate challenging terrain and detect obstacles when parking.

Grip Control

The system maintains a constant speed when driving on rough roads with large bumps or slippery surfaces. This allows the driver to focus on steering, enhancing confidence during rough-road driving.
Drive Mode Select

Drive Mode Select

Three drive modes are available: ‘Normal Mode’ for urban driving, ‘Eco Mode’ to reduce power consumption, and ‘Power Mode’ for enhanced responsiveness on winding roads. Drivers can select a mode to match their mood or driving conditions.
Paddle Switches

Paddle Switches

Regenerative braking levels can be easily adjusted to match your driving scenario. The strongest of the five regenerative braking levels lets you accelerate and decelerate using just the accelerator pedal, making city driving smoother and more convenient.
